December Begins with Gratitude: Picking Up the Pieces and Receiving Everything God Has for Me

ree

I knew December had arrived when I felt a familiar tug in my spirit. The kind of tug that makes you stop in the middle of your routine, place your hand over your heart, and whisper, “Thank You, God.”

Because before I stepped into the twinkle lights and holiday noise, I remembered the moment that brought me to my knees this year. The moment that changed everything. The moment I realized that God was not breaking me. He was bending me back into alignment.

It happened in a quiet room with no audience and no applause. A moment where I could not pretend or push through. My questions were louder than my confidence, my exhaustion pushed past my strength, and my heart whispered a truth I had been avoiding. I needed God more than I needed answers.

And right there on the floor, with tears that tasted like release, I heard the shift: "You are picking up the pieces that will build your next.”

Not pieces of failure. Not pieces of disappointment. Pieces of Becoming.

This December, I am choosing to stand in that moment with gratitude. Not because every month was kind. Not because the journey was perfect. But because God carried me through each one of the eleven months before this one. And He is not finished.

Reflecting on the Eleven Months Behind Us

When we pause long enough to look back, we often realize that the things we thought would break us, actually built us. The setbacks that frustrated us positioned us. The closed doors protected us. The waiting strengthened us.

Think about your own year. The mornings you pushed through. The prayers you whispered. The lessons you learned quietly. The breakthroughs that came after long stretches of stillness. There is power in looking back with gratitude because it prepares your heart to receive what is next.

December is not just a month. December is a mirror. A reminder that you made it. A reminder that God is still working. A reminder that you are stronger than anything that tried to stop you.

A Declaration for December and Beyond

This month, I declare that I am stepping into everything God has prepared for me. I am not shrinking. I am not doubting. I am not apologizing for becoming the woman He called me to be.

I am picking up the pieces that align with purpose, strength, healing, confidence, and legacy. I am releasing anything that keeps me stuck in old versions of myself. I am moving with clarity and courage. I am walking into 2026 with expectancy, readiness, and joy.

And I invite you to say this with me:

“God, thank You for what You carried me through. I receive every blessing, opportunity, connection, and breakthrough You have set aside for me. I walk into the next year with open hands and an open heart. I choose trust over fear, purpose over panic, and alignment over anxiety. I receive everything You have for me.”

A Call to Action for Every Person Reading This

Stop for thirty seconds.

Place your hand over your heart. Take a breath that reaches all the way down into your soul. Think about the one moment this year that changed you. Not the moment that hurt you, but the moment that grew you.

Now ask yourself: What did that moment teach me? What did it prepare me for? What is God inviting me to step into next?

Let this be the month where you pause and thank God for every piece of your journey. Let this be the month where you decide that nothing connected to your future will be wasted. Let this be the month where you choose gratitude as your foundation and expectation as your posture.

December is here, and so is your next. 2026 is waiting, and God is already there making room for you.
